DanceAll Productions and Dance Theatre of Huntsville opened its doors to students in under-resourced communities with little to no access to classical ballet training and arts enrichment activities. DAP has trained more than 5000 African American and Latinx students ages 2 1/2 years old through to adult in the North Alabama region. After presenting 18 seasons of performances to local and state audiences and cultivating a love of dance in thousands of students, DanceAll Productions remains at the forefront of inspiring the growth and diversity of contemporary ballet. In 2003, DAP, Inc. opened its dance program to expand access to classical training to communities of color and prepare them for collegial and professional dance opportunities. DAP’s pre-professional dancers serve as role models for the city of Huntsville while DAP’s training school provide a multitude of ways for our community to engage with the fine arts.

CLASSES FOR
EVERY AGE

Ballet, Jazz, Modern (Horton Based), Tap, and World dance classes. ADVANCED DTH Performing Company (Ages 6 -22) Students can progress through the levels, eventually being invited to attend these pre-professional classes.

DTH SCHOOL

The DTHsv School will provide dancers with caliber technique and basic development of artistry. Each level is designed to help dancers progress while reaching their fullest potential as they work hard to move on to the next level in their dance training.

PRE-PRO SCHOOL

The Pre-Professional School will provide dancers with tools and resources to advance their technical ground and perfect artistry. The upper school fosters individuality and confidence among technically strong dancers.

We use dance as a tool to help young people develop the internal confidence they need to be successful in life. These include developing a strong work ethic, self-determination, self-esteem, and a positive attitude about life and respect for others. We have seen many of our students go on to be very successful in life and in school as a result of the character building essentials they received in dance classes at Dance Theatre of Huntsville, school of Dance All Productions.
